All health services will be moving from Seabrook Centre to The Beacon including: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, Paediatricians and psychology services. If you have previously had appointments with health staff at Seabrook Centre these will take place in The Beacon and the high quality you have come to expect will continue in new and purpose built surroundings.
Children’s social services
Like in the other MASH centres in Kent we have Social Work and Occupation Therapy staff based in The Beacon, working closely with our Health and Education colleagues to make sure we join up our services and make things easier for disabled children, young people and their families. We also run some of our short breaks from here, bringing our services closer to where people live.
Portage are so pleased to be part of this exciting development continuing our Portage home visiting education and support for pre-school children. We also hold a weekly ‘Short Break’ group working closely with the nursery, offering play based activities for the children and an opportunity to meet other parents.
We are excited that all agencies are now together to continue to join up Early Support services for children and families.
